We are back with a brand new season and brand new format. After a few months off, Rich and Brian are back with their brand new roundtable format.

To top it off, this episode was recorded live in front of an audience that was able to participate in the conversation.

In this episode we talked about different trends in licensing with IP attorney David Deal and real estate photographer Kerry Bern. Lots of different topics were discussed and we even left a few minutes at the end for Q&A.  We truly hope you like the new format and welcome your feedback.

So, in summary, register all of your images in the hopes that some 3rd party, an unaffiliated company, uses one or more and take them to the CCB for good money (unless they opt out of the CCB process). Beyond that, take the risk of ticking off and losing a good client by attempting to enforce your copyright because their builder or close contact used your photo. I’m not sure this is realistic for 90% of us who regularly shoot “bread and butter” homes for the MLS.

That is an extreme way of looking at it but at the end of the day, do what works for your business.
